About Norma

Norma Jennings is an award‑winning novelist and former corporate executive whose work bridges global history, culture, and identity. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and completed the Management Development course at Harvard Graduate School. Jennings has lived and worked throughout the United States and the Caribbean and now resides in Florida, with deep ties to Jamaica, where her family’s old sugarcane plantation, Twickenham, continues to inspire her writing.

Jennings was born and raised in Jamaica, with parents of multiethnic backgrounds. She has presented at large events as an executive, at writers’ conferences, at author conferences hosted by the Jamaican Consul General, and as commencement speaker at her Alma Mater in Texas.

Jennings’ novels include Daughter of the Caribbean, Passenger from Greece, and The Irish Connection, an Amazon #1 bestseller and winner of the 2024 Editor’s Choice Award of Literary Excellence. Passenger from Greece was awarded finalist in the Best USA Book Award, and in the Next Generation Indie Book Award for Best Multicultural Fiction and Best Book Cover Design. Jennings was named one of the 50 Great Writers You Should Be Reading.

Her fourth novel, Marooned, about a Maroon woman warrior’s vicious fight for freedom against slavery, leading to independence from the British 40 years before the U.S. achieved it own independence from England, will be published May 10, 2027. Her fifth novel, Closure, Interrupted, is a warm, engaging women’s fiction story that blends romance with touches of suspense and political drama.
